Block Pallet vs Stringer Pallet: Which Design Is Better?
Wooden pallets are built in one of two structural styles: block or stringer. Both work; they solve slightly different problems.
Stringer pallets
A stringer pallet uses three (occasionally more) solid timber runners — the stringers — as its main structural members. Deck boards are nailed across the top and bottom of these stringers. Forklift entry is limited to the two open ends unless the stringers are notched for four-way entry.

Block pallets
A block pallet replaces the stringers with nine solid timber blocks (three across, three long) with unnotched stringer boards or perimeter members connecting them. Forklift entry is available on all four sides by design.

The honest answer
Neither design is "better" in isolation. Stringer pallets are the everyday workhorse of general export cargo; block pallets are the standard for European supply chains and high-turnover warehousing. CeyPall manufactures both and specifies the right one for your application in the quotation.
